Taste Testing Zoup!’s Three New & Delicious Seasonal Boules! + GIVEAWAY {CLOSED}

Zoup! generously covered the bill at my recent taste testing experience and provided gift cards for the giveaway; all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I don’t know a single person who doesn’t like soup. Even if it’s just one soup in the entire world, they still like soup. Am I right? If you’re like me, you may associate a certain kind of soup (Chicken Noodle Soup) with a certain memory or person (my mom) and so when they call it a comfort food, you sort of get why.

As someone who enjoys soups, but knows that I need to move outside my comfort zone a bit, I was excited when I received an invitation to taste test some of Zoup’s seasonal bread boules! Not only would it be an opportunity for me to try their bread boules, but in general, my first time going to Zoup!

First, what you should know about Zoup!

  • Their inventory of soups contain hundreds of award-winning soups that are rotate on 12-a day-schedule
  • Choices of soup include varieties that are low-fat, vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free, spicy and made with gluten-free ingredients to suit all customers’ needs
  • Beyond soups, they feature an array of made-to-order salads and sandwiches to accompany your soup of choice, if desired
  • Customer favorites include: Chicken Potpie, Lobster Bisque and Vegetarian Split Pea.
  • They allow and encourage sampling of any soup before purchasing so you won’t waste any money on not liking the one you selected

My guest and I were floored at how kind the crew were to us! I’ve never been on an official tasting and so I wasn’t sure what I should expect. I think the workers and owner didn’t really know either, but they didn’t let that from allowing us to enjoy the new experience! They were knowledgeable about each soup, and we even had time to chit-chat with the owner. I thought it was interesting to hear what made her want to start her franchise here in Madison (and one in Milwaukee!) and what mistakes have help her learned since opening! We were even able to take home some leftovers for our loved ones at home!

The 6 boules we chose: Lobster Bisque, Mac ‘n’ Cheese, Cheeseburger, Santa Fe Chili Chicken, Clam Chowder & Wild Mushroom Barley

The three seasonal boules now and until about January are Parmesan Garlic, Italian Herb and Sea Salt and We learned that when not in season or ‘limited edition’ that the bread boules are typically come in only one kind so having three was exciting! We shared our thoughts and told them that they need to make these flavored boules a permanent thing – my favorite two were Parmesan garlic and Italian herb. Already a fan of these flavors, it was hard for me to stop eating with so much in front of us, I felt like I needed to pace myself!

Be sure to check out their locations and make sure you have one in your state – sadly they aren’t yet in all states but have about 88 locations! They have choices beyond just soups – like sandwiches and offer catering opportunities at work and events! After you check to see if there is one where you -or someone you’d like to gift a gift card to – please enter my giveaway here to win 1 of 2 $25 Gift Cards! Be sure to leave a comment telling me what your favorite soap in the whole wide world is!

    I’m a fan of many soups and feel that there is an occasion for just about every variety. With that said, my favorite of all time is Italian Wedding Soup!
