Show Your Skin Some TLC with CeraVe® This Winter!

Happy Winter Skin Relief Day!!

If this is the first time you are hearing about Winter Skin Relief Day, it’s celebrated annually on January 8th to help bring awareness to all the extra attention winter skin needs. The dropping temperatures outside rising thermostats inside suck up the moisture in the air and our skin is the first to take notice. With the start of Winter, Winter Skin Relief Day reminds us of all the ways we can protect our skin under the harshest elements.

With today being what it is I thought it would be a perfect time to share with you how I adjust my beauty habits for the harshness of the cold and dryness that Winter brings along using CeraVe® products! Developed by dermatologists, CeraVe® does more than just moisturize on the skin’s surface – it’s the first and only brand to offer a full line of products with patented MVE technology that releases ingredients slowly over 24 hours, and containing an exclusive combination of vital ceramides that healthy skin needs. In a nutshell, ceramides are the glue that keep skin cells together, moisture in and irritants out while also restoring your natural skin.

CeraVe offers a wide range of products that helps me fight all the issues that come with Winter Skin problems!

My Winter morning skin routine starts out with the CeraVe® Hydrating Facial Cleanser that contains hyaluronic acid to help retain my skin’s natural moisture while removing dirt, oil and makeup at the same time! I also use this before I go to bed, because #1 tip in life – never go to bed without washing your face!

After my face is clean, I apply the CeraVe Skin Renewing Day Cream that contains Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen to help reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles! Doing this step helps keep my face not looking pasty and flaky under the makeup I wear each day!

Throughout the day, I rely on using CeraVe®’s Healing Ointment (has the National Eczema Association Seal of Acceptance) because it provides my skin with intense, long-lasting moisturization it needs during this time of the year. It’s made up of a non-greasy gentle formula that soothes, temporarily protects and helps to relieve dry, chapped and chafed skin caused by the colder air. I keep the tube version at my desk at work, and the big jar at home, because almost everyday my hands become painfully dry!

Come night time when the last thing I want to do is go through a huge beauty routine, I rely only on cleansing by face and then applying CeraVe® Skin Renewing Night Cream. This cream contains hyaluronic acid that ultimately helps reduce the look of tired skin and supports skin elasticity!

And if my skin is suffering this Winter, you get bed the delicate skin of my two children are just as much! There has been more than one incident where my 5 year old has been woken up in the middle of the night or has had trouble falling asleep because his legs or back have itched due to dryness. CeraVe® Baby Healing Ointment helps treat and prevent diaper rash by keeping wetness out, while also soothing and temporarily protecting baby’s chapped and cracked skin!

I’ve seen this brand in stores and have been curious about it. Thank you for the review. I am totally going to try the night cream. My husband needs the healing ointment for his Eczema.

Both my son and I have terribly dry skin and I have tried almost every drug store brand except this one. I may have to check it out next!

Yes! We just had a terribly cold spell run through the Midwest, so it’s extra difficult this time around!
