Spellbound was the, theme, although not sure you can really call it a theme. I think they just throw a name on something related to the month, but the products don’t always seem themed around what the card says – know what I mean? Anyways. According to the card, the box had a retail value of $139.00. Always impressive, no need to complain.
I’ve heard some people complain about seeing the “Nailed It” Tool Kit collobration with ncLA in this month’s box, but a.) it’s a Boxycharm exclusive (from my understanding) and it’s practical. Of course, we always want to see makeup, makeup, makeup, but throwing in some always needed tools is nice, too! Plus, it’s uber cute and easy to throw in your purse without being too bulky! Retail Value: $18.00
I am not really a highlighter person. I don’t use them every day, so I wasn’t overly excited to see the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Prosecco Pop, but I did know that this is a cult favorite in the makeup community, so I am excited for that reason, plus I would never spend almost $40 on a highlighter! Retail Value: $38.00
I really need to work on exfoiliating and I do have big pores, so getting Dr. Brandt in this box is awesome – especially since the retail value is $58! Skincare can be so expensive, so I don’t mind when it’s included in this box!
I’m pretty over liquid lipsticks at the moment, and while I did receive a shade that I would genuinely wear, you can imagine the number of shades I have in the shade I got! I did like how they managed to match up the liquid lipstick with the lip liner by JonteBlu – a brand I’ve never heard of until today. JonteBlu has a retail value of $5.00 and the Tarte Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint has a retail value of $20.00.
What are your thoughts? What’s your favorite thing from the box? Lease favorite?
