November Boxycharm: Sweater Weather

Initially, I loved seeing these lip masks in the box! I thought it was something new, and not just makeup. Even better was that they included not just one, but three in the box! I think that’s a great idea especially if the value of the item is low!

However, when I tried to use them, I didn’t have much luck and I thought they were kind of silly…. I am guessing that I would have had better luck lying down for 20 minutes (how long they suggest keeping them on) but with two kiddos running around, lying around is a rare act, lol. I can’t quite attest to the benefits of these, but do appreciate seeing them in the box. If you got this box and tried them, do you have tips for me? Did it work for you? Retail Value: $15.00 for 3

I love the sleek packaging of this lipstick from LAQA&CO. When I first saw the color, it looked like it was going to be dark brown, but when I swatched it and put it on my lips, I was happy to find the beautiful berry shade instead. I used to be obsessed with shades like this, and then I went towards nudes. Lately though, I’ve been bringing them back but in small doses. I’m so unglamrous and tend to forget I have lipstick on most days. Retail Value: $17.00

The item I was least excited about was the setting spray from Cover FX. Without double checking, I feel like we just got one in a recent box, and although I ended up breaking that one (tip broke?), I still wasn’t excited to see it, really. I suppose the big difference with this one is that it offers up an all-over illumination and alcohol-free. Retail Value: $31.00

Another item I was just sort of meh about, mostly because I feel like I am overwhelmed in makeup brushes was the Boycharm collaboration with Luxie Beauty. The best part of it was that it was meant for traveling and they were “mini” sized and give them credit for that because I did like that! Retail Value: $32.00

And the best thing, was the WinkyLux Kitten Palette! Not only does it have cat faces on the outside of the palette, but the palette shade range is beautiful. I’m slightly exhausted with the reddish/orange shades that are trendy right now, but shoot – I’m obsessed with eye shadow the most. Retail Value: $25.00 (So surprised at this value! For the quality and pigmentation, it’s less money than the eye shadow brushes!)

These are some great products. The lipstick is a great color, odd how it does look dark brown until you put it on.
