Part of the joy of hunting the Dollar Tree is coming across old collections of makeup. I don’t necessarily mean, old as in expired makeup, but old collections that are discontinued. I’m not too familiar on the rules of old makeup, but I’m assuming that nail polish is fine no matter when it’s made. Does it it expire? No clue. All I know is that there is a fun nail polish collection circulating Dollar Tree stores from Revlon right now! Scented nail polish to be exact!
After doing some research, thanks to Nouveau Cheap’s blog post, I discovered that this was a collection that Revlon put out back in 2013!
I did notice when applying these that the formula was quite watery. You really have to shake them up, which isn’t a terrible thing, and something that I typically do before applying any polish. I can’t state whether these are watery because of their age, or because of that being just how the formula is but one of the notes I made about trying these out!
Some of the scents were spot on, while others weren’t so obvious, but the neat thing was that once dried – they truly did smell like something. My favorite shade and scent would be Wintermint.
Have you ever tried a scented nail polish before? Do you plan on running to your nearest Dollar Tree to see if these are there?
