Sometimes there are so many makeup trends happening at one time that it’s impossible to keep up. I’m constantly trying to learn new techniques and try new products that it straight up gets overwhelming. With some help from Hard Candy, I’m here to share what I’ve learned recently about Color Correcting and even host a giveaway where one reader can win THREE Hard Candy color correcting products for themselves!
When I first think of color correcting, I think of all those colors and wonder what the difference between them all. Well as you may suspect each color and each product has a specific purpose! Hard Candy has a whole line of limited edition color correcting products and specifically I’m here to talk about two – Color Correct Radiant Primer & Color Correct Expert Stick!
First up, let’s talk about Hard Candy’s Color Correct Radiant Primer!
What is it supposed to do? We all know the importance of a primer when applying makeup, so this is the first step in neutralizing skin concerns. Each primer is formulated with hydrating ingredients that blend easily into skin and provide a neutral, smooth base to start any makeup routine.
How to use: Apply the primer after cleansing and moisturizing your face. Rub the primer into your skin until it’s absorbed. Once the primer is dry, continue with your normal makeup routine.
First off, I have a tip when using this – rub it in fast! It dries pretty quick and so don’t get distracted (like me) when applying it on for the first time!
Secondly, the Color Correct Expert Stick that comes in 6 shades is a creamy, blendable, pastel stick concealer that helps camouflage skin imperfections. These color correctors feature a pencil shape that is precise and easy to apply. You’ll never need a sharpener for them – suitable for beginners and professionals!
So, what’s the purpose of each color?
They have more products in this new collection of color correctors, too!
